Anders Engberg-Pedersen is a Researcher at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics. He holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University and a Dr.phil. from Humboldt Universität, both completed with highest honors. His interdisciplinary research focuses on European literature (German, French, Russian), philosophy, and cultural history from 1750 to present, with specializations in Romanticism, 19th-century novels, knowledge poetics, sensory history, and war literature.
His current project examines the concept of 'tact' across literature, philosophy, and music, tracing its evolution from a physical sense to a cognitive faculty for social interaction. This work builds on his expertise in historical transformations of sensory perception and interdisciplinary theory.
