Anatole Uwiragiye

Anatole Uwiragiye is a Lecturer at the University of Rwanda's Department of Development Studies since 2019, and a PhD student in Environmental Systems Analysis at Chalmers University of Technology. His research focuses on Energy Transition in Policy and Finance, with specific emphasis on Innovation in Rwanda's Energy and Climate Policy Arenas and their impacts on rural communities through gender and poverty reduction frameworks.

He previously worked at the Rwanda Gender Monitoring Office as Gender Mainstreaming Specialist and spent 9 years at ActionAid International as Programs Manager. His fields of interest include Energy Policy, Climate Policy, Gender Studies, Sustainable Development, Rural Development, and Finance.
