معرفی
Dr. Anath Ariel de Vidas is a Social Anthropologist and Research Professor at CNRS, France. She serves as Co-coordinator of the FABRIQ’AM project, studying Amerindian conceptions of cultural heritage. Her research explores the interplay between historical processes, socio-economic dynamics, and symbolic identity formations among indigenous groups in Latin America. Key areas of focus include the impact of modernity on Andean textile traditions, ethno-political movements in the Andes, and marginality among Teenek Indians in Mexico. She has authored three books and numerous articles, emphasizing Amerindian perspectives on modernization and interethnic relations. Her work bridges anthropology with critical heritage studies, particularly analyzing how indigenous groups leverage heritage to assert cultural visibility in contemporary socio-political landscapes.
