Anastassios Papageorgiou

Anastassios Papageorgiou serves as an Adjunct Professor, Group Leader, and Senior Scientist at the University of Turku, actively contributing to the Papageorgiou Lab and Protein Structure and Function research group within the Protein Structure and Chemistry Core facility.

His research spans Protein Structure, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biophysics, focusing on protein function analysis through structural determination techniques. This work leverages the Core's instrumentation for protein purification, crystallization, X-ray crystallography, and biomolecular stability studies.

As a Senior Scientist, he supports university-wide research through the Protein Structure and Chemistry Core, which provides services in protein structure determination, protein chemistry modeling, and related analytical techniques using advanced instrumentation including crystallization robots and X-ray crystallography systems.
