Anastassiadou Meropi

Anastassiadou Meropi is a University Professor specializing in contemporary Greek history within the Department of Mediterranean, Slavic and Oriental Studies (MESLO) at the Faculty of Letters, University of Geneva. She is affiliated with INALCO (Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales) in France, where she conducts research through the CERMOM research center.

Her research interests focus on contemporary Greek history from the 19th to 21st centuries, the sociocultural history of Greeks in the Mediterranean, Balkans and diasporas, Orthodox Christianity (including its history, institutions and societies), and contemporary Greek society through historical sources. She has particular expertise in Ottoman-era Greek communities and modern Greek-Turkish relations.
