Anastasia Mantziou is a Harrison Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick. Her research focuses on statistical analysis of networks, including Bayesian modeling for network populations, time series analysis, and applications in neuroscience, ecology, economics, and cyber-security. Previously, she was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at the Alan Turing Institute under Professors Gesine Reinert and Mihai Cucuringu, and a Research Assistant at Imperial College London under Prof. Nick Heard. She earned her PhD in Statistics from Lancaster University, supervised by Simon Lunagomez, Robin Mitra, and Paul Fearnhead, focusing on Bayesian modeling for multiple network data.
Education:
- PhD in Statistics, Lancaster University (2021)
- Research Assistant, Imperial College London (prior to Turing Institute role)
Research Interests: Her work emphasizes Bayesian methodologies for network populations and dynamic network analysis. Applications span diverse fields such as economic networks, cyber-security (via honeypot data), and real-time GDP forecasting using payment networks. She also explores computational challenges in modeling cyclic structures within networks.
Advising & Grants: While no advisees are listed, her research has been supported by projects involving collaborations at leading institutions. She maintains an office hour Tuesday 13:30-15:30 at MB1.11 (Warwick) or via MSTeams.
