Anas ABDELKARIM is a doctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg's Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). He is affiliated with the Automation & Robotics Research group under Prof. Holger Voos, collaborating with the Electromobility department at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern (TU KL), Germany, led by Prof. Daniel Görges.
- Education: Master’s degree in Automation and Control Systems (2020) from TU KL.
His research focuses on control systems, model predictive control (MPC), and optimization. He applies these to robotics, energy-optimal adaptive cruise control, and vehicle-to-grid profiles for microgrid peak shaving. His work also includes developing numerical solvers for online optimization and mixed-integer programming for preventive maintenance scheduling.
Recent publications highlight advancements in factor graph optimization, convex optimization methods, and energy management in electromobility. He utilizes interdisciplinary approaches combining robotics, control theory, and computational efficiency to address real-world engineering challenges.
