Anam Shakil Rai

Anam Shakil Rai is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nutrition and Public Health, University of Agder. She holds a Bachelor in Community Nutrition (2012) from Oslo and Akershus University College, a Master of Health Sciences (2014) from the University of Oslo, and is pursuing a PhD in Health and Sports Sciences (2024) at UiA. Her work focuses on gestational diabetes screening and diagnostic criteria in Norwegian populations.

Publications (2021-2024): Her research analyzes gestational diabetes diagnosis using maternal characteristics, evaluates fasting glucose as an alternative screening method, and assesses adverse pregnancy outcomes under different diagnostic criteria. These studies involve pooled data from four Norwegian prospective cohorts.
