Ana Victoria Philliber

Prof. Ana Victoria Philliber is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Southern Nazarene University (SNU), affiliated with the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. She teaches Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, and Physician Associate Medical Anatomy-Cadaveric Lab courses. Her academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biology (expected 2026) from the University of Oklahoma, an M.Ed. in Academic Leadership and Biomedical Education from the University of Oklahoma, and a B.S. in Biology-Chemistry from SNU.

Prof. Philliber emphasizes creating an educational environment where students connect anatomical study to faith, viewing the body's complexity as evidence of divine design. She believes anatomical study fosters humility and appreciation for life's purpose.

Outside academia, she enjoys family activities with her spouse Derek and their cat Teethers, including beach trips and classical music concerts. A lifelong goal is to visit the Seven Wonders of the World, having completed 2/7 so far.
