Ana Stanescu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of West Georgia, affiliated with the Dr. Perry College of Mathematics, Computing, and Sciences and the School of Computing, Analytics, and Modeling. She holds office hours in-person and virtually, emphasizing accessibility for students.
Education: B.S. in Informatics (Romanian-American University, 2006), M.S. in Computer Science (James Madison University, 2008), and Ph.D. in Computer Science (Kansas State University, 2015).
Research and teaching focus on Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, Data Analytics, and Computer Science Education. Courses taught include Machine Learning Foundations, Distributed & Cloud Computing, Intelligent Systems, and Computing Internships.
