Ana Sarić is a Researcher at the Department of Molecular Biology, part of the Institute for Biological Research 'Siniša Stanković' under the University of Belgrade. She is a Ph.D. student in Molecular Biology and holds an M.Sc. in Biology (Applied Genetics) and a B.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Physiology, all from the University of Belgrade.
Research Interests: Epigenetic regulation of gene expression, DNA methylation, CRISPR-based epigenetic editing (Epi-CRISPR/Cas9), and application of PARP inhibitors in cancers with homologous recombination deficiency. Her work focuses on establishing novel cellular phenotypes and synthetic lethality in cancer therapy.
International Collaborations: Participated in projects with the German Cancer Research Center (Heidelberg, 2023), ALBA Synchrotron Center (Barcelona, 2019), and a study visit at the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research (Poland, 2022). She has been a volunteer at European Researchers' Night events since 2012.
