Ana Miriam Duarte Reis da Silva

Ana Miriam Duarte Reis da Silva is an Associate Professor at the Aveiro-Norte School of Design, Management and Production Technologies, University of Aveiro. She currently serves as Director of Ctesp in Software Development and is a member of the School Council. Her research focuses on design innovation in education, sustainable materials (particularly cork applications), and digital media for children. She has led projects like Additive Manufacturing with Cork and Water Data Solutions, demonstrating interdisciplinary engagement with environmental and technological challenges.

Her academic contributions span publications on interactive educational tools for deaf children, traditional food product revitalization, and digital adaptations of children's literature. She has supervised master’s and doctoral theses addressing topics such as health literacy for phenylketonuria patients and gamification of water consumption tracking. Miriam actively participates in research institutes like the Institute for Research in Design, Media and Culture, contributing to both theoretical and applied design studies.
