Ana María González Roldán is a Professor in the Department of Psychobiology at the Faculty of Psychology, University of the Balearic Islands. As Vice Dean and Principal Investigator (IP) of research projects, she focuses on neural correlates of pain and their modulation by affective, cognitive, and social factors in both healthy populations and chronic pain patients.

Her research integrates advanced methodologies like EEG, fMRI, and psychophysiological measurements (cardiac activity, electromyography, skin conductance) to explore pain dynamics and aging-related changes in pain processing. She has secured funding from national programs (MICINN, IMSERSO) and private foundations.
As a dedicated educator, she teaches Biological Psychology, Foundations of Psychobiology, and Pain and Brain in undergraduate and master's programs. She has organized international symposia, including the International Symposium for the Study of Chronic Pain and Fibromyalgia (2011-2013) and the X Congress of the Spanish Society of Psychophysiology and Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience (SEPNECA) (2016).
Her technical expertise includes neuropsychological assessment, neuroimaging data analysis, and interdisciplinary research bridging clinical psychology and neuroscience.
