Ana Maria Rios Martinez

Ana Maria Rios Martinez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science, Social Anthropology and Public Finance within the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Murcia. She holds a PhD from the same institution, awarded in 2016 for her thesis on budget transparency and legislative control in public administrations, supervised by Francisco José Bastida Albaladejo and Bernardino Benito López.

Her research focuses on public finance, budget transparency, local government management, and the implementation of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She examines gender dynamics in public sector roles, political corruption impacts, and fiscal sustainability.
