Ana Margarida Tavares de Sousa

Ana Margarida Tavares de Sousa is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Lusófona University. She directs the Postgraduate Program in Sports Management and Marketing and coordinates internships for the Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education and Sport. Her research focuses on sports organizations from interdisciplinary perspectives, including education, business, and health.

Research Interests: She explores the intersection of sports management, marketing, and health promotion, with recent projects analyzing green infrastructure’s role in physical activity during pandemics and gender dynamics in soccer. Her work integrates psychological models like Self-Determination Theory and Mediation Analysis.

Collaborations: Active in interdisciplinary projects with researchers in public health, urban planning, and sports sociology. Key collaborations include the verDEsporto study (2021-2022) and the WIN-WomenINgreen initiative (2023).
