Ana Marasović

Dr. Ana Marasović is an Assistant Professor at the University of Utah's Kahlert School of Computing, where she co-leads the UtahNLP group and runs the ANANAS research team. Her research focuses on developing AI systems that support human decision-making, communication, and creativity through interpretable NLP techniques and multimodal benchmarks. She holds a PhD from Heidelberg University and served as a Young Investigator at the Allen Institute for AI (2019–2022) with a courtesy appointment at the University of Washington. Her work emphasizes translating AI model capabilities into human-understandable reasoning mechanisms, particularly through faithfulness evaluation of verbalized explanations.
