Ana Helena Valdeira Caetano

Ana Helena Valdeira Caetano is a PhD student at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU). She is affiliated with the PILOT PLANT facility at DTU. Her research focuses on bioprocess engineering, particularly in microbial growth modeling and fermentation optimization through model-based experimental design.

Research Interests: Ana’s work centers on multi-sugar growth behavior characterization, shake flask experiments, and predictive modeling for bioprocess optimization. She explores systems biology approaches to enhance fermentation efficiency and bioprocess scalability.

Advising & Projects:

• PhD Project: "Digital Quality by Design with model-based design of experiment" (2024–2027), supervised by Prof. Krist V. Gernaey and Dr. Jan Kager.
