Ana George is an Assistant Professor of Spanish at King University. She holds a Ph.D. in Hispanic Studies from Texas A&M University (2017), an M.A. in Spanish (2010), and a B.A. in Modern Languages and Linguistics from the University of Maryland-Baltimore County (2002). Her research focuses on 20th-21st century Latin American literature, particularly Central American narratives of violence and Afro-descendant representation. She has presented works at conferences in Kentucky, Mexico, Louisiana, and Texas. Her teaching specialization includes Spanish language education and innovative uses of technology in the classroom, such as virtual reality-enhanced courses. Ana joined King University in Fall 2022.
