Ana Echevarría Arsuaga is a professor of medieval history at the National Distance Education University. She is known for her work on the relationship between Christianity and Islam in the Iberian Peninsula, particularly focusing on the conversion of the Mudéjars and the assimilation of Christian communities under Islamic rule. She has held research positions at UCLA, Rice University, and the University of Konstanz, among others. Her research interests include the exercise of power by Iberian queens and the legal status of minorities in medieval Spain.
