Ana Crespo-Solana is a Professor and Tenured Scientist at the Instituto de Historia, part of the Centro de Ciencias Humanas y Sociales (CCHS) under the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). With a career spanning over two decades, she has held academic and research positions at institutions including the University of Seville, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Universiteit Leiden, and MIT, and actively participates in international conferences and doctoral programs across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
- Research Focus: Maritime archaeology, global history, merchant networks, and historical GIS
- Leadership: Coordinator of the Marie Curie ITN project ForSEAdiscovery and principal investigator for projects like Ship ExMachina revisited and Naufragios Históricos
