Ana Bela Cruzeiro

Ana Bela Cruzeiro is a Full Professor at the Department of Mathematics, Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon. She holds significant roles, including Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of Lisbon and member of the Scientific Council for Exact Sciences and Engineering (FCT, 2017–present), the General Council of the University of Lisbon (2021–present), and the Scientific Council of IST (2021–present). As a Principal Investigator, she has led projects on stochastic geometric mechanics and probabilistic approaches to dynamical systems.

Her research focuses on stochastic analysis, infinite-dimensional analysis, Malliavin calculus, probabilistic methods in hydrodynamics, and mathematical physics, particularly Euclidean quantum mechanics. Her work bridges stochastic differential equations, Navier-Stokes hydrodynamics, and geometric mechanics, with applications to fluid dynamics and quantum field theory.
