Amy Woods is a Research Fellow at the University of Adelaide’s School of Public Health within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She works at JBI Global, contributing to the Evidence-Based Practice Database used across 60 countries. Her focus areas include multidisciplinary clinical teams in mental health, ear/nose/throat (ENT), and oral/dental health, alongside prostate cancer survivorship research. She holds a PhD from SAHMRI, recognized with the Dean’s Commendation for Thesis Excellence, exploring prostate cancer survivors’ use of online health resources.
Education: Completed undergraduate degrees in Psychological Science and Health Sciences (Honours in Public Health) at the University of Adelaide, followed by a PhD at SAHMRI.
Research Interests: Evidence-based practice integration, health promotion, rural health, and interventions for chronic disease management. Her work spans systematic reviews on prostate cancer survivorship, online supportive care, and mHealth applications to improve patient outcomes.
Recent Work: Co-supervises studies on head and neck cancer surgery outcomes and sinonasal carcinoma treatments. Previously coordinated occupational therapy projects in pediatric disability clinics and sleep workshops, while supporting NDIS accreditation. Engaged in curriculum development for the Advanced Bachelor of Health Science program.
