Dr. Amy Way is a Lecturer in Modern History at Griffith University's School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science, specializing in Australian history, Aboriginal history, and intellectual history. She holds affiliations with the Griffith Centre for Social and Cultural Research, the Research Centre for Deep History at ANU, and the New Earth Histories Research Centre at UNSW.
Her research explores the conceptualization of human antiquity in Australia across disciplines like geology, archaeology, and anthropology. She received the Vice Chancellor's Commendation for her PhD dissertation and the Ann Curthoys Prize (2021) and Lyndall Ryan Australian Studies Thesis Prize (2022) for her groundbreaking work on Aboriginal antiquity.
