Dr. Amy Payne is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Wrexham University, where she also serves as programme leader for the MSc in Applied Psychology. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Liverpool (2010), followed by an MRes in Clinical Sciences (2013) and PhD (2019). Her professional background includes extensive experience in mental health settings prior to entering academia.
Research interests focus on:
- Public health psychology approaches
- Arts-based health interventions for older adults
- Developmental psychology across the lifespan
- Systematic review methodologies
Dr. Payne teaches undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses with emphasis on clinical applications and research methods.
