Amy Overton-Mccoy

Amy Overton-McCoy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatrics at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), College of Medicine. She also holds a secondary appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing Practice at UAMS, College of Nursing.

Research Interests: Her work focuses on telehealth, rural health services, mental well-being, and chronic disease management, particularly in aging populations. She has led multiple federally funded projects addressing healthcare access and public health initiatives in underserved regions.

Grants: She serves as Principal Investigator for grants from the Administration for Community Living (2022-2025), US Department of Agriculture (2019-2026), and Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (2019-2024), targeting food security, respite care, arthritis interventions, and rural telehealth infrastructure.
