معرفی
Amy Moll is a Professor at the Micron School of Materials Science and Engineering at Boise State University. She co-founded the Materials Science and Engineering department, served as its first chair (2004-2008), and was Dean of the College of Engineering (2011-2017). In 2018, she launched the Engineering Plus program and serves as its director.
- Educational Background
- B.S. in Ceramic Engineering, University of Illinois (1987)
- M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Berkeley (1992, 1994)
Her research spans microelectronic packaging and MEMS, with a focus on low-temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) and through-wafer interconnects. She also pioneers engineering education reforms, emphasizing active learning and sustainable design.
Her recent publications highlight trends in 3D integration, assistive technology development, and sustainable engineering education. Projects include NSF-funded initiatives for semiconductor workforce transformation and inclusive curricula.
- Scientific Recognition
- Golden Apple Award (2007)
- Women Making History Honoree (2006)
As Program Director for Engineering Plus and PI for multiple NSF grants, she has mentored numerous projects and shaped interdisciplinary programs. Her work with LTCC devices and collaboration on energy scavenging and microfluidics demonstrates technical depth.
