Amy Mickelberg is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) student and Research Associate in the School of Psychological Science at the University of Western Australia (UWA). Her research focuses on the impact of misinformation on person impressions, particularly examining how retracted misinformation influences social judgments. Prior to her academic career, she spent 15 years in state and local government roles in media relations and communications, complemented by a Bachelor of Commerce (Curtin University, 2004) and an undergraduate Psychology degree at UWA.

Recent projects include analyzing the effects of diagnostic labels (e.g., depression) and their retraction on public perception.
Collaborations: Active in interdisciplinary research, Amy collaborates with experts in cognitive psychology and clinical psychology, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to mental health and education.
