Amy J. Williams

Dr. Amy J. Williams is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida. Her research focuses on astrobiology, geobiology, and planetary science, particularly the formation and preservation of biosignatures in extreme environments on Earth. This work informs the search for life on extraterrestrial bodies like Mars, Enceladus, and Europa, where she contributes to NASA's Mars Curiosity and Perseverance rover missions as a science team member.

She holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of California, Davis (2014), and her office is located in 270 Williamson Hall. Her expertise bridges organic geochemistry and astrobiological exploration, advancing understanding of planetary habitability.
