Amy J. Peters

Amy J. Peters is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Social Work, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, serving as a full-time faculty member since 2009. She has held multiple administrative roles including School Assistant Director (2017–2023), Coordinator for MSW Distance Education (2020–2023), and Admissions Director (2013–2017). Her focus includes supporting diverse student populations and advancing social work education.

Her research and practice interests center on advocacy, crisis intervention, and program development for victims of intimate partner violence, child abuse, and natural disasters.
