Amy Hansen is an Associate Professor in the Environmental & Water Resources department at the College of Engineering, University of Kansas. Joining the faculty in 2018, she holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with an Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior minor from the University of Minnesota (2012), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan (1995), and a B.S. in Engineering & Applied Science from CalTech (1993). Her research focuses on surface water quality, eco-hydrology, wetlands, bio-physical process interactions, watershed management, and mass transfer mechanisms. She leads the Ecofluids Lab at KU, where her work bridges civil engineering and environmental science.
