معرفی
Dr. Amy Hall is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Durham University, specializing in the crystallization and engineering of pharmaceutically relevant solids. Her research focuses on polymorphs, cocrystals, and neglected tropical diseases like leishmaniasis, alongside broader interests in supramolecular chemistry, crystallography, mechanochemistry, and pharmaceutics.
- PhD in Crystal Engineering (Durham University, 2020)
- BSc in Pharmaceutical Science (University of Lincoln, 2017)
Her recent publications span crystal engineering, supramolecular chemistry, and educational research, highlighting themes such as hydrogen bonding, stimuli-responsive materials, and pandemic-induced shifts in practical science education. Articles from 2024 emphasize molecular interactions in cocrystals, while earlier works explore hydration effects in antileishmanial drugs and dosimetry applications.
Scientific Awards:
- Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship (2023)
- MRSC (Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry)
- AFHEA (Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy)
Dr. Hall supervises postgraduate students including Dylan Todd, Fatoumata Cisse, George Roberts, and Henry Holleb. Her work involves collaborations with Prof. Jonathan W. Steed and contributions to improving drug solubility and bioavailability through cocrystal synthesis.
