Amy Fleischman

Amy Fleischman, MD, MMSc is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School and holds dual roles as Director of the Optimal Wellness for Life (OWL) Program and Director of Clinical Operations in the Division of Endocrinology at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is also an Attending Physician in the Division of Endocrinology. Her clinical and research expertise focuses on pediatric endocrinology, particularly childhood obesity, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic disorders.

Her research integrates clinical care with innovative approaches like eHealth interventions and cost-effectiveness analyses of weight management programs.

Her publications highlight themes in inflammatory signaling pathways linked to obesity, mitochondrial function in growth regulation, and the efficacy of lifestyle modifications in pediatric populations. She collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop family-based treatment models and improve glycemic control strategies.

Programs: She leads the OWL Program, recognized as a top pediatric obesity program, and contributes to initiatives like the EMPOWER Program, combining exercise, nutrition, and behavioral health for holistic care.
