Amy Belcastro

Dr. Amy Belcastro is Professor at Southern Oregon University, coordinating the MSEd program and advising General Studies and Adult Education concentrations. As a first-generation college graduate, she specializes in creating pathways for underserved populations. Her career spans K-12 teaching, California Department of Education policy work, and educational reform initiatives.

Research Focus: Her scholarship investigates critical issues in education, curriculum reform, and adult learning theories, emphasizing social justice frameworks and accessibility for nontraditional learners. Current work examines institutional barriers and transformative pedagogical approaches.
