Amy Barger is a Professor and Department Chair at the Department of Astronomy, University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a leading figure in observational cosmology with a focus on distant galaxies and supermassive black holes.
- Henrietta Leavitt Professor of Astronomy
- Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor
Research interests span multiwavelength observations (X-ray to radio) of galaxy evolution, star formation history, and accretion processes across cosmic time. She specializes in studying high-redshift galaxies and protoclusters.
