Dr. Amy Artman holds the role of Senior Lecturer at Missouri State University's Languages, Cultures and Religions Department, situated within the Reynolds College of Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities. She specializes in American religious history, trauma studies, and pedagogical practices. Her research focuses on religious trauma, the history of Pentecostalism, and trauma-informed teaching methods.
Education: PhD (2009, University of Chicago) and MDiv (1997, Texas Christian University). Her notable publication, The Miracle Lady: Kathryn Kuhlman and the Transformation of Charismatic Christianity in America, explores 20th-century charismatic movements. She has received awards for excellence in online education and curriculum innovation.
