Amy Amper serves as an Assistant Professor and Counselor at the University of Hawai'i, Leeward Community College within the Counseling-Student Services division. Her institutional responsibilities include active participation in the Curriculum Committee, Pamantasan, New Student Orientation, Division Personnel Committee, Sustainability-Designation Committee, and Strategic Plan Student Success Pillar Committee.

- Bachelor’s of Science in Behavioral Science-Sociology from Chaminade University
Dr. Amper specializes in student counseling services with research interests spanning behavioral science applications in academic settings, sociology of student success, mental health support systems, and culturally responsive advising practices. Her work emphasizes practical interventions for community college student populations, particularly through mentorship frameworks and transition support programs.
As a dedicated educator, she serves as Graduation Application Team Lead and co-Chair of the Counseling Mentoring Program where she provides structured guidance to students. Her advising approach integrates behavioral science principles with hands-on support for degree completion.
Dr. Amper actively contributes to campus community building through leadership in the Fil-Grad program (supporting Filipino student success) and the Student Services Social Committee, fostering inclusive environments that address diverse student needs.
