Amlan Ganguly is a Professor and Department Head of the Department of Computer Engineering at the Kate Gleason College of Engineering, Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He holds a B.Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and M.S./Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Washington State University.
His research focuses on energy-efficient interconnection architectures for multicore chips using wireless and photonic technologies, resilient on-chip networks, and secure wireless interconnects. He leads the RESIST research group at RIT, exploring resilient computing systems. Ganguly has authored numerous publications in IEEE journals and conferences, with a focus on NoC architectures, wireless interconnects, and datacenter networks.
He teaches courses such as CMPE-110 (Introduction to Computer Engineering) and CMPE-599/799 (Independent Study). His work bridges theory and practice, addressing challenges in emerging computing paradigms like Industry 4.0 and autonomous systems.
