Amit Dhingra

Amit Dhingra serves as Professor and Department Head at Texas A&M University's College of Agriculture & Life Sciences. His research focuses on plant molecular biology, genomics, and sustainable crop improvement strategies. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Botany from University of Delhi and Agra University respectively, along with a Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology from University of Delhi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing Management from IGNOU, India.

His research interests encompass plant genomics, transcriptomics, molecular breeding, and developing sustainable horticultural practices. Key areas include photosynthesis mechanisms, plant-microbe interactions, postharvest biology, and biochar applications in agriculture.
