Amisha Miller is an Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business, New York University, where she joined in 2023. Her research focuses on decision-making in entrepreneurship and innovation, particularly regarding inclusion, inequality, and gender disparities in funding.

Her research interests center on how entrepreneurs and investors make strategic decisions in innovation contexts. She investigates how advice and experimentation shape entrepreneurial strategy and how investor inquiry patterns contribute to gender disparities in venture funding. Using field experiments and qualitative research, she collaborates with development finance institutions and investment organizations to generate actionable insights for equitable innovation ecosystems.
Her recent publications and working papers explore topics such as changing investor evaluation practices to reduce bias, the role of intuition in entrepreneurial decisions, and how underrepresented founders leverage market knowledge. These works span disciplines including management, entrepreneurship, organizational behavior, and public policy, with subfields like venture capital equity, cognitive decision-making, and organizational change.
