Amira Benali

Amira Benali is an Assistant Professor at Aalborg University in the Department of Culture and Learning, part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities. She holds a PhD in socioeconomics from the University of Geneva. Her research focuses on gender, social justice, poverty, and alternative economies, particularly in the contexts of tourism and management. Current projects explore subaltern women’s experiences with social entrepreneurship in Tunisia. She is affiliated with the MIX Center for Displacement, Migration, and Integration.
