Dr. Amir Bahman Radnejad is an Associate Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the Bissett School of Business, Mount Royal University. He holds adjunct roles at the University of Calgary, SUNY Brockport, and others, while serving as President of 1388 Consulting Group. His expertise spans innovation strategies, sustainable energy, and Design Thinking, with a focus on organizational adaptation to disruptive technologies.
Dr. Radnejad earned a PhD in Strategy with Energy and Environmental specialization from the University of Calgary, a Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Manchester, and a BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tehran. He has certifications in Design Thinking from Harvard Business School.
His research explores barriers to innovation adoption, open innovation ecosystems, and strategic responses to disruptive technologies. Key areas include environmental technology in the oil industry, meta-organizations for collaborative innovation, and Design Thinking methodologies for organizational change.
He has been honored as a finalist for the Presidential Teaching Excellence Award (SUNY-Brockport, 2019–2022), and received the Faculty Publication Recognition Award (SUNY-Brockport, 2020–2021). His work has been supported by grants from Enbridge, UKERC, and the Institute for Sustainable Energy.
As an educator, he teaches Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship, and Leadership at undergraduate and graduate levels. His industry roles include Board membership with the Social Capability Network Calgary and leadership in energy startups, bridging academic research with practical innovation.
