Amir Alinaghizadeh serves as an Academic staff member and post-doctoral fellow at Furtwangen University's Faculty of Mechanical and Medical Engineering, Tuttlingen Campus. He holds a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Tehran and maintains a continuing faculty affiliation with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Islamic Azad University (IAU), Semnan Branch since 2009.
His educational foundation includes doctoral research on chip formation analysis in form turning through grinding and wire EDM methodologies. With industrial experience since 1999, he specializes in high-precision component manufacturing for automotive applications, including punching tools and stamped parts. His expertise spans mold/tool fabrication, fixture construction, and cutting tool optimization through direct collaboration with manufacturers.
As a key contributor to Furtwangen's Institute for Advanced Manufacturing (KSF), he supports industry-focused initiatives including grinding technology seminars, AI integration workshops, and advanced machining training programs. The KSF facilitates critical industry partnerships through events like the Stuttgart Grinding Technology Seminar and specialized courses on cylindrical grinding and tool manufacturing processes.
