Amir Abouelnaga is an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at George Mason University's Costello College of Business. He is also a principal program manager at Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI), where he applies his expertise in systems engineering and program management to deliver critical IT solutions for government and private-sector clients.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Abouelnaga specializes in developing highly resilient safety-critical information systems, with a focus on mission-critical IT solutions. His work spans systems design, program management, and software engineering, supported by patents in his specialty domain. He has taught courses in electrical engineering, computer science, and operations management at institutions including University of South Florida, California State University, and UCLA Extension.
A Senior Member of the IEEE, Dr. Abouelnaga holds certifications in Project Management (PMP, PgMP), IT Service Management (ITIL V3 Expert), Cybersecurity (CISSP), and Agile Methodologies (CSM). His career bridges academia and industry, with technical contributions in IT systems development and leadership roles in large-scale program management.
