Dr. Amer Ali is an Associate Professor in Civil and Building Services Engineering at London South Bank University (LSBU), with a 30-year career in UK academia. He specializes in transportation engineering, railway systems, and sustainability. His roles include Director of Professional Development, Liaison Officer for engineering institutions (ICE, IHE, CIHT, PWI), and Vice Chair of the IHE Greater London Branch. He teaches modules on highway engineering, railway systems, and professional practice, supervising an average of seven PhD students annually in transportation and sustainability research.
Education: Holds an MSc and PhD in Highway and Transportation Engineering since 1991. Professional affiliations include Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellowships from ICE, IHE, CIHT, and PWI, and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA).
