Amelia Clarke is a Full Professor at the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development (SEED) within the University of Waterloo. Her career spans environment and sustainability research, leadership in academic programs, and strategic cross-sector partnerships.

She holds a PhD in Management (Strategy) from McGill University, an M.E.S. from Dalhousie University, and dual degrees in Biology and Engineering from Mount Allison University.
Her research focuses on implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (#8, #11, #13, #17) through cross-sector partnerships, youth engagement, and sustainable community development. Current projects include the $8.5M Municipal Net-Zero Action Research Partnership (N-ZAP) and the Youth & Innovation Project.
Recent publications highlight technical pathways to urban decarbonization, partnership value creation, and SDG implementation strategies. Her work bridges academic theory with practical frameworks for local climate governance and youth impact measurement.
She actively promotes youth-led change and is a member of Nature Canada's Women for Nature, GreenBiz Intelligence Panel, and WRI's Ross Centre Prize for Cities Advisory Council.
