Ameli M. Klein is a Lecturer and co-founder of the curatorial research group Collective Rewilding. She holds an EPIC Fellowship at the AAMC Engagement Program for International Curators (Terra Foundation and Art Fund, 2021) and participates in the Max Planck Institute’s Anthropocene Campus Venice (2021). She has held residencies at the Shanghai Biennial’s SCL (2019), V-A-C Curatorial Lab Venice (2019/20), and Artpace San Antonio (2020). Her research focuses on art’s role in environmental and socio-political contexts, particularly water politics and the Anthropocene.
Former roles include Project Assistant, Catalog Researcher, and Pavilion Manager at La Biennale di Venezia’s German Pavilion (2016–2018), and Consulting Curator roles at institutions like Castello di Potentino and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. She also served at the Hood Museum of Art and Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art.
Her fellowships include Dartmouth College’s History of Art Department (2016/17) and Cornell University (2018/19). Klein’s work bridges curatorial practice with academic research, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to contemporary cultural issues.
