Amedeo D’Angiulli is a Professor in Neuroscience at Carleton University, cross-appointed as Lead Scientist at CHEO Research Institute. His NICER Lab conducts multidisciplinary research spanning cognitive neuropsychology, developmental science, and AI/neurorobotics.
Research clusters include neurocognitive development in socioeconomic contexts, consciousness studies, environmental health impacts on cognition, and computational neuroscience methods. His teaching covers research methodologies, neuroscience of creativity, and theoretical developmental sciences.
Key publications explore sleep impacts on adolescent cognition, music training's neurobehavioral effects, air pollution-related neurological risks, and mental imagery mechanisms. He also investigates haptic perception in blind populations and neuro-robotic modeling.
