Amber Kearns

Amber Kearns serves as a Lecturer in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching undergraduate courses in Latin and Classics. Her instructional responsibilities include LAT 511K (Accelerated Intermediate Latin), LAT 507 (First-Year Latin II), and C C 302 (Introduction to Ancient Rome) across multiple semesters through Fall 2025.

Her research integrates biological and archaeological methodologies with primary focus areas:

• Bioarchaeology
• Ancient DNA analysis
• Paleopathology of ancient disease and health conditions

Ms. Kearns maintains physical office hours in Waggener Hall (WAG 14AA) on Mondays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM and Wednesdays from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with additional availability by appointment for student consultations.
