Amber J. Majeske is an Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Program Coordinator for Health and Human Development at Penn State York. She holds dual Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) and Gerontology from Purdue University, along with a Master's in Sociology. Her research focuses on family interactions across adulthood, religion, and cultural contexts. Current lab projects include fathering adult children, volunteer programs for older adults, and divine motherhood's impact on family dynamics.

Her expertise stems from diverse experiences including research at the Military Family Research Institute, Center on Aging and the Life Course, and a sabbatical at Denmark’s Grundvig Center. Nationally, she serves on Issues in Aging, Families and Health, and Religion and Spirituality sections at the National Council on Family Relations.
Outside academia, she engages in global travel with family, Lego design, and hosting exchange students/medical trainees.
