Miss Amber Dawn Shorter is a Lecturer in the Department of Modern Languages at The University of Texas at Arlington. She holds a BS in Deaf Education from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (1999) and an MS in Deaf Studies/Deaf Education from Lamar University (2012). Her career includes teaching roles at the Missouri School for the Deaf, Pima Community College in Arizona, and serving as an ASL Specialist and English/ASL teacher at a Deaf School. She is a native of Oklahoma, born Deaf, and has dedicated her career to advancing Deaf education and ASL instruction.
